How do I describe this feeling: ALDUB Phenomena

Posted by sucker at 1:43 AM
I've been haunted by my desires to write something about this. Though I know that words are not enough to justify how i felt, at least this will ease every exploding emotions I've been keeping inside for a certain couple. A couple that does not only has affected me but everyone in our household. Not only within area but to almost every Filipino in the corners of the globe. Everything is new to me, I've seen my cousins spazzing for Kathniel, my friends scream their eardrums out for Jadine, only few of the famous tandems named in our country, but It never did peaked my interest to even follow the happenings of their love stories. As what I always emphasize before, our country's loveteams are just part of the infinite cycle of cliches. When you see a new one emerging from the rest, they eventually shows the same pattern as with those who came first from them. From Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, Dawn and Richard, to Jolina and Marvin and today's James and Nadine, Kathryn and Daniel. Yes, they presented different flavors as a defense, but eventually as individuals, they follow the stereotypes of loveteams, they act helplessly in love in front of the camera, but nothing to look forward for behind it. They are very eager to spill out the romantic details in interviews and has not left any secrets that they could share between them and only for them. I'm not saying that they are not good entertainers, somehow, once in a while when I need to wake my romantic cells up, I would watch and pretend to be enjoying it with my friends. But I could no longer hide the fact that all of this has become very predictable. I have been hooked on to love teams before, but not from the Pinoy industry. I'm ashamed to confess but before I do not appreciate the Filipino movies or TV shows so much. I would follow Hollywood couples that came out real after their movie, like Andrew and Emma. Or the Korean speculated real couple Seohyun and Yonghwa, maybe because they gave out a thing to contemplate upon before sleeping every night. To imagine how their romance came about during the filming of their shows, the scenes that are not shown in front of the camera. These are not found in the Philippines, when a loveteam is asked how are they doing together as a couple, immediately they would already blurt out about "special connections" or "she/he is special", the words heard from them over and over again. The ought to be true story has become doubtful. I would always prefer a denied fact than a white lie. The reality has been driven away from all of them, in today's romance onscreen groups, it has all become an act.

Before I converted myself into patronizing foreign showbiz solely, I stumbled upon ALDUB. Some may have the same experience as with me, let me admit it first, I do not watch noontime shows since child. They have the tendencies to be boring in the test of time. But to my surprise, my male friends have been posting through their social media accounts about ALDUB. A combination shortened of the two person's name
Alden and Yaya Dub. I gave this one a try. Contradicting to my hatred of exaggerations, I love Maine(real name of Yaya Dub). Though her role is only limited to spilling out dubsmash lines(prerecorded audio), she seems to break through the funniest expressions giving out the most appropriate impressions from the different characters of the owners of those voices. Because of that, her voice was never heard in the whole duration of her stay in the show, until now, it is still a mystery how she would speak. That is another thing why I fancy Maine so much, she came in the showbiz world with so many reservations, she carry secrets waiting to be unveiled in the right time.
